Sparks Foundation for Grassroots Empowerment (Sparks Foundation) is a registered non-profit organization with focus on women and youths development and providing sustainable solutions to endemic challenges in Nigeria.
We are working to inspire civic engagement and service to expand economic opportunities and community health and improve lives in communities across Nigeria through young people. We work to see young people take leadership roles in addressing the most urgent issues facing Nigeria, supported by their communities, civil society, government and businesses.

A few things we’re great at
Nigeria ranks third nation where seven percent of the world’s poorest lives. This translates to 67.1% of Nigerians living below the poverty line. Our team at Sparks Foundation comprise specialists, experts and volunteers from diverse fields, cultures and backgrounds. From this, we draw strength to implement our intervention programmes in three (3) broad thematic areas to develop the skills and capacity of communities and provide sustainable means of job and wealth opportunities.
We provide resources to encourage disadvantaged children and youths to attend school. We also provide literacy and computing skills training for girls to encourage their involvement and increased enrollment in (STEM) Programmes.
Through the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), we deploy workplace readiness programme for youths and young adults to equip them with skills that promote employability, job retention and youth engagement.
We empower communities with knowledge, technical skills and finance to assist meet their needs (and those of their dependents)l and are able to build a sustainable income stream to achieve their dream of financial freedom.
