Sparks Foundation for Grassroots Empowerment is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organisation registered in 2017 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of the Government of Nigeria with registration number CAC/IT/103803. Our work focuses on the development of people in the grassroots communities and giving them access to resources through which they can decide a better future for themselves. We are working to inspire civic engagement and service, expand economic opportunities and improve public health in our communities across Nigeria through young people.
Our approach
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote women and youth development and provide sustainable solutions to endemic challenges in Nigerian communities.
The goal is to promote women and youth development in Nigerian communities by focusing on education, skill development, microfinance, entrepreneurship, healthcare, technology empowerment, sustainable agriculture, community infrastructure, advocacy, partnerships, and environmental sustainability. The emphasis is on holistic and inclusive approaches to address endemic challenges and provide sustainable solutions.

We envision a world where people decide their destiny.
The vision is for a world where individuals have the power to shape their destinies, emphasising empowerment, autonomy, inclusivity, equality, and community engagement. It involves dismantling systemic barriers, promoting human rights, and fostering global collaboration for a more just and equitable world.

Management
Sparks Foundation for Grassroots Empowerment is led by its Executive Director who is the formal head of the organization and is responsible for the overall management of the organization. The Executive Director is supported by the manager programs and team of coordinators and managers of different sections/programs of the foundation and they jointly form a management structure for the Foundation.
Governance
Sparks Foundation for Grassroots Empowerment is governed by its Board of Trustees.
